WASHING MACHINE FRONT PANEL INSPECTION (Machine Vision)

Amid the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic in Hanoi and southern provinces, despite facing numerous challenges due to the government’s social distancing mandates, AFM successfully completed and delivered the Washing Machine Front Panel Inspection Machine to the customer on schedule. The machine is equipped with the most advanced machine vision technology available today.

The system utilizes four machine vision cameras to inspect for defects such as character errors, misprints, and surface scratches on the washing machine’s front panel. Designed by AFM engineers with a focus on simplicity and efficiency, the machine allows operators to handle it with ease.

Images captured by the four machine vision cameras are compared with a reference image to determine whether the product is OK or NG (No Good). If a defect is detected (NG), the system will alert the operator via alarms, indicator lights, and the computer screen so that the faulty product can be promptly removed.

All captured images are stored on the computer’s memory, making it easy to trace back the inspection history and generate defect statistics. This feature is highly valuable for manufacturing facilities. Thanks to the statistical data, the production team can identify frequently occurring issues and implement process improvements to enhance product quality.
