WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR COFFEE INDUSTRY
1. Overview of coffee and coffee processing wastewater
- Along with the development of other industries and services, the demand for coffee products is increasing. Coffee is gradually becoming an important export processing agricultural product of Vietnam, export turnover in recent years has fluctuated from 400 to 600 million USD / year, generating 6% to 10% of export income. national password.
- Vietnam has become the second largest coffee exporter in the world after Brazil. Therefore, this industry is indispensable in the lives of people. The need to build a coffee processing wastewater treatment system is essential to protect human health and the environment.
2. Coffee processing wastewater treatment system
- Washing: this is the stage of wastewater with mainly suspended solids and low pollutants. Wastewater in this period is not significant.
- Shell grinding: In this stage, wastewater generates little but has a dense composition, high turbidity and sediment. In addition, this period also produces a large amount of shells, making waste water a large amount of garbage.
- Enzyme immersion: this is the most noticeable stage of wastewater generation of the processing process, wastewater generated from this stage has high organic content, in addition to a large viscosity.
- Rinse: This stage wastewater has high organic content.
- Wastewater from washing machinery and equipment.
- Domestic wastewater: wastewater from the office area, from the toilets, etc contains TSS residues, organic matter: BOD, COD, and pathogenic microorganisms. Therefore, it is necessary to build a coffee processing wastewater treatment system.
3. Technological scheme
- Wastewater from the processing plant will be led through pipes to the collection pit. There will be a trash rack to remove large trash to protect the next equipment.
- Waste water after passing through the regulating tank will be passed through UASB tank and pumped with gas to be able to decompose and absorb organic substances as live nutrients and then passed through aerotank tanks, where the process will take place nitrification and phosphorus transformation, helping to convert nitrogen and phosphorus into easily absorbable compounds of microorganisms as nutrients.
- The process will be transferred to the bio-sludge tank where the amount of sludge is collected and facilitates the settling of sludge to the bottom of the tank. After being deposited, sludge will be passed through the sludge press and then passed through the mud drying yard to reduce bad smell.
- And then through a flocculation tank, the purpose of this tank is to reduce turbidity and color, suspended sediment and microorganisms.
- Finally, it will be passed through the disinfection tank, where chemicals such as NaOCL, etc will be added to destroy harmful microorganisms and let the output water meet the TCVN. And give the source to receive.
