2. Tour itinerary:
♦ Day 1 : Hanoi arrival - Pick up to hotel
- Welcome to Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam! After landing and immigration procedure, Ama Journey’s tour guide and driver are waiting for you to pick up and take a 45-minute transfer to your hotel in Hanoi old quarter.
- Check in at your hotel (check in time after 14.00), take a rest after your flight or enjoy a walk around to discover the 36 streets city followed by a welcome dinner at a restaurant in the old quarter.
- Overnight in Hanoi.

♦ Day 2 : Highlights of Hanoi discovery
- The Hanoi heritage sites tour program will bring you an impressive experience of Hanoi through the discovery of beautiful landscapes and historical sites that have made Hanoi famous. The program is private, so the schedule will be flexible and our tour guide is ready to modify it according to your requirements right on the tour.
- Start the journey by exploring the imperial citadel of Thang Long, built in the 7th century in the Dinh - Tien Le period. Experiencing many ups and downs of history, now, Thang Long Imperial Citadel is a place that attracts many domestic and foreign tourists to admire and explore.
- Then visit Ho Chi Minh memorial complex that included: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, the house on stilts, the One Pillar pagoda.
- Lunch will be served at a colonial style house restaurant before we head to the Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam thousand years ago, also a temple to worship Confucius.
- Hoa Lo prison or also known as the Hanoi Hilton that should not be missed. A place built by French colonialists and later Northern Vietnam used it for US prisoners of war.
- Long Bien bridge is a highlight of the trip. The hundred years old bridge crossing the Red river symbolizes historical Hanoi.
Back to the city center for a walking tour in the old quarter. Discover the local life and some delicious street foods to understand more about our culture. You will pick some street foods such as” bun cha”, “grilled meats”, local “salads” (Nom), or BAMI breads…

♦ Day 3 : Hanoi - Halong Bay cruise
- At 8.00, after breakfast at your hotel, our driver will pick you up and transfer you through the red river delta to one of the most famous world heritage sites in Vietnam: Halong Bay, where you will board a charming and full-equipped cabin for a 2-day overnight cruise.
Arrive at Halong pier, the cruise welcomes you on board, check in the cruise.
- Enjoy a sumptuous lunch on cruise while admiring the limestone karsts and tropical islets rising up from the emerald waters of the bay.
- Exploring Sung Sot cave (Surprising save), which is the largest natural cave in Halong Bay with mesmerizing stalactites and stalagmites. Formed millions of years ago.
- Some activities such as swimming, kayaking, climbing Titov mountain will be included in the program offering a memorable journey experience.

- Enjoy an early morning to catch the sunrise over the thousand limestone in the middle of crystal emerald water creating a marvelous scene.
- A breakfast is served on cruise. Take a relaxation while the cruise passes some islets such as: man head, tortoise rocks… named by distinctive shapes.
- Brunch is ready before checking out the cruise and disembarking the pier. Meeting our driver and transferring to Ninh Binh.
- On arrival, check in your hotel and relax.

♦ Day 5 : Bai Dinh pagoda and Trang An landscape complex - The World Heritage site
♦ After breakfast at your hotel, start to visit Bai Dinh pagoda. This is one of the most impressive and biggest pagodas in southeast Asia, a Buddhism center in Vietnam.
♦ Walking along the 500 stone Arhats statues lead to the main pagoda. Discover the 13 storey tower by a lift to enjoy the panoramic view.
♦ Travel to Trang An area for lunch and relaxing before a sampan rowing boat trip on the clear water of the stream where you can see the bottom or many fishes. Rowing through the grottoes, some of them are 100 – 200-meter long that really bring you an impression.
♦ On the boat trip, we will stop and get off the boat to discover some pagodas and temples which were built to worship the Tran dynasty’s mandarins.
♦ After a 2-hour boat trip. Return to the Trang An pier and return to your hotel.

♦ Day 6 : A day train from Ninh Binh to Dong Hoi - Phong Nha
- Breakfast at your hotel and transfer to Ninh Binh railway station for a day train to Dong Hoi. After about 9 hours, arrive in Dong Hoi railway station, meet up our tour guide and driver for a transfer to Phong Nha town.
- Check in your hotel and relax or stroll around the town.

♦ Day 7 : Phong Nha and Paradise cave discovery
- After breakfast at your hotel. Embark on your exploration of Phong Nha Cave, the world’s longest limestone cave.The cave, which was once used as a hospital and munitions store during the Vietnam War and is part of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, will be accessed by boat along the Son River. Inside the cave, you will be amazed by its fine sand beaches and breathtaking beauty of stalagmites and stalactites.
- Head to a local restaurant for lunch before discovering the renowned Thien Duong Cave, also known as Paradise Cave, discovered by the British Caving Research Association’s scientists in 2005.The cave is 31.4 km long, 60 m high and 30 to 100 m wide. It is a complex of skyscraper-high stalagmites and stalactites. The first 1 km is open to visitors with wooden steps. It is time for you to admire the grandiose nature inside the cave.
- In the late afternoon, return to the hotel, where you can spend the rest of the day at leisure.

♦ Day 8 : Phong Nha - Quang Tri DMZ Tour - Hue
- Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before traveling from Phong Nha to Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam.
A full day to enjoy the DMZ tour in Quang Tri.
- En route, make a visit to the renowned Vinh Moc Tunnel. Local people excavated the tunnel system of 1.7 km long and 10 to 23 m deep in just 2 years (1965 - 1967), and it was used as a bomb shelter during the Vietnam War. This site stands as evidence of the bravery and heroism of the Vietnamese people.
- Continue your journey to Hue, and make a stop for an excursion to the well-known 17th Parallel. According to the Geneva agreement, this historical site was the border between the North and the South of Vietnam. Visit the museum, flag tower, the Ben Hai River, and the Hien Luong Bridge and understand more about the history of this special land.
Arrive at Hue in the late afternoon and check in your hotel. You are free to relax after a long day tour.

♦ Day 9 : Hue heritage - full day tour exploration
- Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel. Meet our tour guide and driver for a full day tour to discover this charming Royal city.
The first stop is the Royal Citadel. Our tour guide will tell you the historical events of this former royal court. This citadel city is composed of three parts: Kinh Thanh (the Capital city), Hoang Thanh (the Imperial city) and Cam Thanh (the Forbidden City).
In the afternoon, explore Khai Dinh royal tomb that has the combination of Vietnamese and Europe’s architecture style. The next will be Tu Duc royal tomb which has a lake, pavilion and palaces, a great beautiful place to visit and discover.
- The final for today will be a trip to Vong Canh hill, there, you will have a chance to relax and enjoy the sunset over. This area is surrounded by pine forests and offers panoramic vistas to the Perfume River with mountain ranges beyond.
- Return to your hotel for your free time.

♦ Day 10 : Hue - Transfer to Hoi An explore the world heritage site.
- After your breakfast at your hotel, meet our tour guide and driver for a 4-hour transfer to Hoi An – another World Heritage site recognized by UNESCO in 1999.
- Drive to Hai Van pass to enjoy the great panoramic view to the sea and Lang Co beach. On the way, stop to visit Marble mountain, My Khe beach in Danang.
- Arrive in Hoi An in the afternoon, enjoy a leisure walk to the symbol of Hoi An: Chua Cau (Japanese bridge) that allows the Japanese quarter to access the Chinese quarter of the town. This temple bridge was well preserved in its original style for mostly 400 years.
- Continue the walking tour in Hoi An Ancient Town to visit Quan Thang ancient house, which is more than 150 years old. The house is still quite intact in terms of architectural design and interior decoration. The entire architecture and wood carvings are very lively and delicate, made by artisans of Kim Bong carpentry village, Hoi An.
- Followed by a visiting Phuc Kien or Fujian Assembly Hall built from the 17th century. This is the religious site to honor deity Thien Hau. Admiring its ornate gates surrounding. And beautiful carved dragons in the main room.

♦ Day 11 : Hoi An - My Son - Street Food Tour
- Starting the trip early in the morning from Hoi An to adventure to My Son Sanctuary. Located in a geological basin surrounded by mountains, this historic complex lies just an hour inland from Hoi An. The Cham tribe chose this strategically defensible location as the capital of their empire, which flourished between the 4th and 13th centuries. Despite heavy bombing during the Vietnam War, many ruins still stand.
- On arrival, enjoy a two-hour walking tour of the site. Learn about the original building techniques and traditional materials used, such as timber, brick, and stone. Take note of the craters left by American bombs during the war in the 1960s and 70s.
- After exploring the ruins, witness the beauty of the traditional Apsara Dance performed by local ladies in colorful traditional costumes and cone-shaped hats. Accompanied by the rhythmic beat of panpipes and drums, this dance demonstration takes place beside the historic temples, providing a captivating conclusion to your visit to My Son Sanctuary.
- Return to Hoi An and enjoy the street food tour in Hoi An. This street food tour is the great way for you to enjoy our local specialities in Hoi An, know about the local chefs, how their cooking skills and the ingredients that made the specialities.
- We recommend you should try: Cao Lau Hoi An, Beo cake, Quang Noodle, Hoi An chicken rice, Bread Hoi An, Grilled pork with fresh rice paper and dessert with Sweet Soup.
- The tour will end by 8PM and you off at your hotel.

♦ Day 12 : Hoi An - Danang - fly to Ho Chi Minh city
- Free till meeting our driver and transfer to the airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh city. Upon arrival, get a pick up to your hotel in the city center and enjoy some highlights of the city: Notre Dame Cathedral, Opera House, the Central Post office, the city hall now it is the people’s committee building.
- Followed by a visit to the Jade Emperor Pagoda, one of the most beautiful pagodas in Ho Chi Minh city that worships the Jade Emperor and other gods in the oriental religion.
- Return to your hotel in the later afternoon and overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

♦ Day 13 : Ho Chi Minh city - Mekong delta day trip
- Meeting your tour guide and driver after your breakfast and transfer to Mekong which is famous for its vast rice fields, countless waterways and beautiful idyllic landscapes.
- Arrive in Ben Tre town after a 2 hour drive, take a motorboat trip to explore the narrow channels among the coconut forest. On the boat trip, we will stop to visit some traditional handicraft villages such as brick village, weaving sleeping mats village to see their local life and how they do their products.
- Take a leisure walk along the village path under the coconut’s shadow, visit the locals and taste the fresh fruits, honey tea.
Ben Tre is famous for Coconut Candy, you will visit the workshop that produces this delicacy of candy and other products that are skillfully handcrafted from coconut husk and fiber.
- After that, take a sampan boat through the canals along the hidden waterways surrounded by an immense variety of tropical plants. The peaceful rural place is great for recovering from a busy life.
- Lunch will be served with local specialities at the restaurant. After lunch, enjoy the motor cart that will take you through the local hamlets, rice fields, coconut groves and orchard farms.
- Return to the pier and take our transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city.
