6. Safety Warnings and Usage Guidelines:
- Only trained personnel with proper safety training are authorized to operate the equipment.
- Liquid argon is extremely cold and maintained at high pressure under safety valve conditions.
- Store in a well-ventilated area to prevent suffocation risks. Argon is colorless and odorless, making it undetectable before loss of consciousness.
- Avoid direct contact with liquid argon. Exposure to skin, eyes, or clothing can cause frostbite or severe cold burns.
- Always use proper protective gear, including face shields and gloves, when handling liquid argon.
- Always store gas cylinders upright and transport them using appropriate equipment do not roll or carry them manually.
- Open the valve slowly when using. Close all valves after each use, even when the cylinder is empty.
- Before reusing equipment, ensure no residual liquid remains in the piping system.
- Maintain a minimum residual pressure of ≥ 5 bar after each use. The temperature inside the cylinder should not exceed 52°C.
By following these guidelines, you can safely handle and utilize liquid argon for various industrial applications.
