FIRE EXTINGUISHER CONTAINER
FM200 (FM-200™) is a clean, colorless, and odorless gas that is commonly used in fire extinguisher systems. It contains carbon, hydrogen, and fluorine, and is known for being non-destructive to the ozone layer, safe for electronic equipment, and harmless to human health.

FM200 does not contain chlorine or bromine atoms and has no ozone depletion potential. Its atmospheric lifetime ranges from 31 to 42 years. It leaves no residue or oily deposits and can be removed from the affected area by simple ventilation.

Operation Principle of FM200 Fire Suppression System:
- FM200 interacts with the fire by absorbing heat, thereby disrupting the chemical reaction of the combustion process without significantly reducing the oxygen level in the air, ensuring it remains safe for occupants.
- Effective against Class A (ordinary combustibles), Class B (flammable liquids), and Class C (electrical) fires.
- FM200 is stored as a liquid under pressure with nitrogen to ensure it is effectively dispersed through the piping system and nozzles, covering the entire protected area.
- Careful calculation is required to ensure the appropriate discharge density, not exceeding 10% for occupied areas.
- Piping diameter and nozzle size are precisely calculated to ensure discharge time is between 5 to 10 seconds.
Installation:
- FM200 cylinders are installed vertically with the valve at the top. The cylinders are interconnected to a manifold via DN40 discharge hoses with check valves or appropriately rated threaded couplings.
- Cylinders are secured with two retaining straps (Part Number: SFS-CC-82.5), which are fixed to the wall or structural supports.
- For pressure monitoring, optional pressure gauges with supervisory contacts (Part Number: SFS-PG42S) can replace standard pressure gauges.
