DN20 SAFETY VALVE

SAFETY VALVE STRUCTURE
The general structure of a safety valve, based on shape, function, and installation type, comprises two main parts:
Valve Body:
- The valve body houses essential components, including the spring, inlet and outlet ports, valve disc, sealing element, and adjusting screw.
- Materials: Typically made from the same material as the valve body, such as stainless steel, cast iron, steel, or brass.
- Connections: Safety valve ports are connected to the pipeline using threaded or flanged joints according to standards like JIS, BS, DIN.
- Coating: Epoxy-coated body with pressure ratings of 10kg, 16kg, and 20kg.
Handle and Cap:
- The handle is detachable for pressure adjustment purposes.
- Even if the pressure hasnt reached or has exceeded the safety limit due to blockage or any other reason, the handle can be pulled or - squeezed to release the fluid.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE:
Indirect Acting Safety Valve:
- Utilizes a high-pressure hydraulic system where direct-acting valves are not feasible.
- Components: Main valve with a large diameter piston and a small-stiffness spring, auxiliary valve with a small diameter piston and a large-stiffness spring.
- Operation: Based on the balance of opposing forces acting on the valve disc or piston: the spring force and fluid pressure. The valve opens to release fluid when the inlet pressure exceeds the set discharge pressure.
Direct Acting Safety Valve:
- Relies on the balance of opposing forces acting on the valve disc or piston: the spring force and fluid pressure.
- Operation: When inlet pressure is below the set discharge pressure, the piston remains fully closed. If the inlet pressure exceeds the -discharge pressure, the piston moves to open the valve, releasing the fluid until the inlet pressure s back to the set discharge pressure.
Installation Instructions:
- Correct Orientation: Install the safety valve in the correct direction as indicated by the arrow symbol on the valve body.
- Connection: Connect the check valve to the activation line using copper or flexible activation tubes.
- Clean Connections: Ensure all copper tube connections are thoroughly cleaned before installation.
- Secure Fastening: Tighten all nuts properly to prevent gas leakage at any connection points.
