Metal Welding Service
Introduction
This process involves joining two or more pieces of metal by melting and fusing them together. Depending on the project you are looking to complete, choosing the right process is essential if you want to avoid issues such as corrosion, weaker bonds, or even a total failure in the binding of the weld. There are variety of welding methods:
Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding
Is a type of arc welding that uses a consumable wire electrode to create a weld. The wire electrode is continuously fed into the weld area, and a shielding gas is used to protect the weld from the atmosphere. The shielding gas can be inert gases, such as argon or helium, or semi-inert gases, such as carbon dioxide.
Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding
Is an arc welding process that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld. The weld area and electrode are protected from oxidation or other atmospheric contamination by an inert shielding gas. The shielding gas is typically argon or helium. It is a good choice for welding thin materials and for welding in confined spaces
Spot welding
Is a resistance welding process that joins two or more metal sheets together by applying pressure and heat from an electric current to the weld area. The size and strength of the weld depends on the thickness of the metal sheets, the amount of current, and the duration of the weld. Spot welds are typically small and round, but they can be made larger and elongated to accommodate different joint designs
Robotic welding:
is a resistance welding process that joins two or more metal sheets together by applying pressure and heat from an electric current to the weld area. The size and strength of the weld depends on the thickness of the metal sheets, the amount of current, and the duration of the weld. Spot welds are typically small and round, but they can be made larger and elongated to accommodate different joint designs.

Insert
For custom enclosures or parts, self-clinching fasteners are probably the most useful hardware components at a designer’s disposal. They solve a whole host of challenges when it comes to mounting components, and because of their compact design and low profile, they provide excellent aesthetics as well. Themost popular are PEMS Fasteners.
If you require a fastener we don’t stock, contact us – we’d be happy to source what you need, for added lead time and cost.
