ET5500 epoxy coating is a two-component, self-leveling (self-balancing) epoxy flooring system with exceptional resistance to acid and chemical corrosion. ET5500 epoxy coating offers high hardness, excellent abrasion resistance, and strong impact resistance. The product is specifically designed for factory floors that are frequently exposed to highly corrosive acid and chemical environments.

3. Technical Specifications of ET5500 Epoxy Coating

• Solid content: Approximately 98%.
  

• Theoretical coverage: 2.04 liters/m² at a dry film thickness of 2000 µm for standard floor surfaces 3.06 liters/m² at a dry film thickness of 3000 µm for standard floor surfaces.
  

• Specific gravity: 1.05 ~ 1.15 kg/liter depending on color.
  

• Drying time: Touch dry: 4 hours full dry: 16 hours full cure: 7 days.

4. Application Notes for ET5500 Epoxy Coating

• Surface preparation: Prior to application of ET5500 acid-resistant epoxy coating, the surface must be mechanically treated to ensure proper adhesion and thoroughly cleaned to remove oil, grease, and contaminants.
  

• Do not apply on concrete substrates that have not reached 28 days of curing age.
  

• Substrate moisture content must be less than 6% (to be measured with a moisture meter).
  

• Previous coat: EP118 epoxy primer.
  

• Mixing ratio: PTA:PTB = 11:5 (by volume) or PTA:PTB = 2.4:1 (by weight).
  

• Application method: Raking, troweling.
  

• Coating thickness: Recommended 2000 µm – 3000 µm.
  

• Packaging: 16 liters/set (PTA:PTB = 11:5).
