Masterbatch, or colorant pellets, are composed of relatively simple components. These pellets are made from virgin base resins (PE, PP, PC, etc.), pigments (either basic or blended), and various additives (such as processing aids and dispersing agents). Colored plastic compounds are used to replace the direct application of pigments onto plastic products, which can be harmful.
