• Occupational safety is becoming more and more important. Ensuring occupational safety and hygiene and constantly improving working conditions are not only the task of state authorities, but has been recognized by many agencies, socio-political organizations, unions, and businesses First of all, the awareness of employers and employees about occupational safety and hygiene has gradually been improved. Many businesses consider occupational safety and hygiene as a condition for the development and survival of the business. Therefore, complying with legal regulations on OSH, improving working conditions, and minimizing the harmful effects of dangerous factors during work on the health of workers, etc. All of them has been implemented effectively by many businesses.
• State management of occupational safety and health is increasingly consolidated and demonstrated through the completion of the system of legal documents on occupational safety and health, with special attention to solutions to new problems arising or negative aspects of economic operations and current integration such as excessive working hours, occupational diseases, and workplace accidents.
• The propaganda and training activities to raise awareness of OSH and improve the working environment are promoted and increasingly expand to small and medium-sized enterprises, craft villages, farms, and workers at establishments and associations, etc. The training program has gradually been specific and standardized for each profession. A number of international occupational safety and health training methods have been researched, applied, and supplemented to suit Vietnamese conditions such as the WISE method (Work improvement in small enterprises), WIND method (Work improvement in neighbourhood. Development), etc. The occupational safety and hygiene training has paid attention to occupations that are high risk or can pose a great risk of unsafety such as electricity, chemical, mining, construction, gas preparation and filling systems, etc.

At all times, we must not neglect occupational safety and health and focus on key issues, specifically: 

1. Regularly propagate on a large scale, in many forms with varied content to raise awareness of labor laws in the field of occupational safety and health, creating changes in the workplace, especially businesses and workers with the slogan "Occupational safety and hygiene not only ensures the lives and health of workers but also the survival of businesses and the national prosperity." On that basis, each industry develops a specific action plan to implement occupational safety and hygiene.
2. Further strengthen state management of labor safety and hygiene. First of all, we must attach importance to completing, supplementing, and amending legal documents in accordance with the law production and business situation in the trend of integration and development, while bringing documents to life. Receive all rattan inspections of occupational safety and hygiene, increase inspection and supervision of law enforcement, strictly punish establishments and individuals who violate the law, and promptly reward units that do well and have good policies. Encourage businesses to improve working conditions.
3. Make labor law regulations on occupational safety and hygiene one of the indispensable contents when conducting trade promotion. Continue to research and propose mechanisms and policies to encourage businesses to invest in occupational safety and health, and improve working conditions in production and business activities.
4. Create favorable environmental conditions beneficial to encourage businesses, first of all for their own benefit and that of workers, and to develop and implement regulations on self-inspection and supervision of the implementation of regulations and norms on occupational safety and health in the workplace, as well as each industry or current production and business associations.
