Applications and Benefits
Over 80% of the potable water used in modern life relies on sand filters in rapid and slow filtration tanks. Maintaining optimal working conditions for these filters heavily depends on the physical and chemical properties and particle size distribution of the material. Thus, ing high-quality sand with the correct particle size is critical for calculating and ensuring filtration efficiency.
In nature, only about 10% of sand is suitable for use in rapid filtration tanks, and of this, 30% is applicable for slow filtration tanks. Advanced countries employ sophisticated techniques to determine effective particle size and uniformity coefficient for material ion. With years of experience, our company has developed and supplied sand filters with ideal water filtration properties. All our products undergo rigorous quality inspections, ensuring compliance with the JWWA A-103 standards set by the Japan Water Works Association.
Applications
This sand can be effectively combined with other mechanical filtration materials such as Anthracite, Activated Carbon, Manganese Sand, and Gravel in rapid and slow filtration tanks of water treatment plants, as well as industrial, urban, and residential wastewater treatment projects. It performs exceptionally well in counter-current filtration and large-scale water purification, delivering high efficiency. Additionally, it is widely utilized in pressurized water filtration tanks, filter columns, and other filtration systems.
