Occupational Safety and Hygiene Training
1. What is Occupational Safety and Hygiene Training?
- Occupational safety and hygiene training is a key method for enhancing the understanding of both employees and employers about ensuring safety and hygiene in the workplace. This training aims to reduce risks, workplace accidents, and occupational diseases within organizations.
- Occupational safety refers to measures taken to prevent harmful factors from causing injury or death during work. Poor safety standards can lead to workplace accidents.
- Occupational hygiene involves measures to combat harmful elements that may cause illness or diminish workers health while on the job. Insufficient hygiene practices can lead to occupational diseases.
2. Groups Required to Participate in Occupational Safety and Hygiene Training
➟ Group 1: Managers Responsible for Safety and Hygiene
- Heads of units, production or business facilities, departments, and branches those in charge of production, business, or technical departments and supervisors or equivalent roles.
- Deputies of the unit heads mentioned above, who are assigned responsibilities related to safety and hygiene.
➟ Group 2: Safety and Hygiene Personnel
- Dedicated or part-time safety and hygiene officers within the organization.
- Individuals directly supervising safety and hygiene at the workplace.
➟ Group 3: Workers in High-Risk Jobs
This includes employees engaged in jobs classified as having strict safety and hygiene requirements as designated by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs under Circular No. 13/2016/TT-BLDTBXH.
➟ Group 4: Workers in Low-Risk Jobs
This includes employees not covered under the previous groups, including apprentices, trainees, or probationary workers for employers.
➟ Group 5: Healthcare Personnel
➟ Group 6: Safety and Hygiene Inspectors
As regulated under Article 74 of the Occupational Safety and Hygiene Law.
3. Training Content and Duration
The training program, content, and duration are conducted according to the provisions of Decree No. 44/2016/ND-CP and Decree No. 140/2018/ND-CP issued by the government.
Vietnam Inspection And Training Joint Stock Company has been licensed by the Department of Labor Safety to provide Class C occupational safety and hygiene training, as per Decision No. 235/QD-LDTBXH dated March 6, 2024. We have also been granted Certificate No. 21/2024/GCN on March 26, 2024, by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs for our training activities.
