Ground Rice Husk
Ground rice husk is widely used across various sectors, including agriculture, domestic use, and industry, particularly in the boiler industry. It is an effective, safe, cost-efficient, and environmentally friendly option. Thanks to its ability to burn longer than traditional fuels, ground rice husk is increasingly becoming the preferred choice for businesses using boilers, drying ovens, dyeing machines, paper mills, textiles, seafood processing, and other industries.
1. What is Ground Rice Husk?
Ground rice husk, also known as milled husk, ground husk, or husk powder, is made by grinding pure rice husk with no impurities using specialized grinding machines.
Rice husks are collected from rice milling plants and then transferred via conveyor belts to grinding machines to produce husk powder in various sizes based on customer requirements.
2. Applications of Ground Rice Husk
- In Livestock Feed: Fine ground rice husk (husk meal) can be used as animal feed for livestock, poultry, and fish, or as a filler combined with vitamins, crude fat, and crude protein.
- In Industry: Ground rice husk serves as a fuel alternative to coal, wood, and other combustion materials in industrial boilers for drying, dyeing textiles, spinning, paper production, garment manufacturing, seafood processing, and agricultural processing. Compared to coal and diesel (DO, FO) or charcoal, ground rice husk offers several advantages:
- Efficiency: Ground rice husk burns well and generates heat effectively, with a fiber content of 75%. One kilogram of ground rice husk can produce up to 4,000 Kcal of energy, which is equivalent to one-third of the energy provided by oil but at a cost up to 25 times lower.
- Economical: Ground rice husk can reduce fuel costs by nearly 70% compared to other fuel sources.
3. Product Characteristics:
- 0.7 – 1.5mm Size: Ideal for use in atomizing burners, 20% cheaper than wood husk, with a calorific value similar to sawdust (4,000 kcal/kg), and produces 5-7% less ash compared to wood husk.
- 1.2 – 1.8mm Size: Suitable for blending with other fuels like rice husk, sawdust, and wood shavings, and can be used with pneumatic conveying systems in boilers.
4. Technical Specifications of Ground Rice Husk
