☆  High-quality leather for covering sofa is usually made from 100% genuine cowhide, and is divided into two main groups: treated leather (processed leather) and intact leather (full grain):

• A type of leather that has undergone several stages of tanning treatment. This type of leather is very carefully treated on the surface, and rubbed to remove scratches and pale marks of the leather.
• Then the leather is processed to create leather grain, and some of the leather panels are filled with colors. Finally, a protective layer is applied. This type of leather is very easy to manage and use. However, its disadvantage is that the look does not seem beautiful and smooth as the original leather,  so their price is cheaper.

☆  ☆  ☆  Intact leather:

• These are beautiful layers of leather which have gone through a minor processing stage, so there is no need to create the leather grain. In addition, they are not covered with many protective layers, so this type of leather is very natural, soft and smooth.
• Especially when used for a long time, its glossy effect can create a luxurious sofa. However, this type of leather is less protected so it is prone to scratches and burns. This is reason why leather enthusiasts often use this type of leather because of their high price and luxurious outlook
