Premium Anti-Wear Hydraulic Fluid

Premium quality, anti-wear hydraulic fluid, designed for use in mobile and stationary high pressure hydraulic systems giving exceptional service life and performance. Formulated with ISOSYN Technology which has the potential to provide longer service life when compared to typical solvent extracted hydraulic oils.

The use of ISOSYN Technology resists oil thickening and deposit formation in service, eliminating the need for unscheduled change of hydraulic fluid. Oxidation test life is higher than industry standard solvent extracted hydraulic oil products.

Special anti-wear additive package reduces wear by protecting surfaces when load causes breakdown of the lubricant film.

+ Reduced downtime

Specially ed rust and oxidation inhibitor system combined with premium base oils prevents the production of abrasive particles from rust formation, and deposits, varnishes and sludges from oil breakdown, which can damage equipment surfaces and seals, and block filters prematurely.

Multigrade hydraulic oil

Premium performance, anti-wear hydraulic oils which incorporate a special viscosity index improver additive to enhance their viscosity/temperature characteristics.

- Applications

Hydraulic and fluid power transmission systems subjected to wide variations in temperature or where low viscosity change with fluctuating temperature is required.Certain critical hydraulic systems can only tolerate small variations in viscosity with fluctuating temperature if efficiency and responsiveness are to be maintained. Hydraulic oils, such as Shell Tellus S2 V, which exhibit multigrade viscosity characteristics may be used to particular advantage in these circumstances.

- Performance Features

+ Very low viscosity variation with temperature

Special viscosity index technology minimises the oils variation in viscosity with changes in temperature and provides good pumpability at low temperatures. These features are particularly beneficial in hydraulic applications subjected to extremes of temperature

The VI improver is highly resistant to mechanical stress. The maintenance of stay-in-grade characteristics ensures effective lubrication and long oil life

- Compatibility

The anti-wear additive technology used in Shell Tellus S2 V is based upon zinc which, although ideal for most hydraulic pumps, should not be used in those of older design containing silver-plated components. Shell Tellus S2 V should be used for these applications.

- Seal & Paint Compatibility

Shell Tellus S2 V are compatible with all seal materials and paints normally specified for use with mineral oils

- Health & Safety

Shell Tellus S2 V are unlikely to present any significant health or safety hazard when properly used in the recommended application, and good standards of industrial and personal hygiene are maintained. Avoid contact with skin. Use impervious gloves with used oil. - Protect the environment

Take used oil to an authorised collection point. Do not discharge into drains, soil or water.

- Product Description

Mobil DTE 10 Excel Series are high performance anti-wear hydraulic oils specifically designed to meet the needs of modern, high pressure, industrial and mobile equipment hydraulic systems.

The Mobil DTE 10 Excel Series is constructed from ed base oils and a proprietary additive system to provide well balanced performance in a range of applications. The products exhibit exceptional oxidation and thermal stability allowing long oil life and minimized deposit formation in severe hydraulic systems using high pressure, high output pumps. The innovative ultra keep clean performance protects critical hydraulic system components from malfunction, such as tight tolerance servo and proportional valves found in many modern hydraulic systems. The shear stable, high viscosity index allows for a wide operating temperature range maintaining maximum hydraulic efficiency and component protection at both low and high temperatures.

The Mobil DTE 10 Excel Series hydraulic oils not only provide outstanding hydraulic system efficiency but also ultra keep clean performance, and a high degree of fluid durability.
