PS PLASTIC TRAY

1. Features:

- Hard, transparent, no taste, flame unstable when burning                                                                          
                                                                                                                                                                                       

- Colorless and easy to create colors, beautiful appearance, easy to process by injection molding method (processing temperature is about 180-200 degrees C).
                                                                                                                                                                                  

- The mechanical properties of PS depend on the degree of polymerization. PS has low molecular weight, very brittle and low tensile strength. When the molecular weight increases, the mechanical strength, heat increase, and brittle decrease. If a certain level of polymerization is exceeded, the mechanical properties reduce. The tensile strength will decrease if the temperature rises. The relative elongation will begin to rise when the temperature is 80 degrees C. Beyond that temperature, PS will become soft and sticky like rubber. Therefore PS is only used at temperatures lower than 80 degrees C. 

2. Usage:

- PS plastic is used in the production of plastic foam containers for food, CD, DVD plastic covers, childrens toys, computers, hair dryers, kitchen appliances ...

- In the field of shaped plastic, PS is often used to make plastic containers, plastic cups, plastic bowls, plastic confectionery trays thanks to its hard and brittle properties, very light, easy to shape, beautiful products are made. However, for PS plastic products it is best not to use PS to store hot food (above 70 degrees Celsius) because at high temperatures Monostyrene releases large amounts that will damage the liver. Therefore, do not use plastic trays from PS to store boiling water, greasy food, pickles, vinegar.
