- Sulfur Hexafluoride gas is also called SF6 gas, is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic, non-flammable gas with high dielectric properties and chemically stable features.

- In energy:

+ Thanks to its insulating properties, its excellent arc cooling function (100 times faster than air) SF6 gas has special applications in high voltage circuit breakers and other switchgear.

- In steel & metal:

+ SF6 gas is used as a molten magnesium protection during magnesium production.

+ High purity SF6 gas is used in the production of semiconductors, electron microscopy screens. SF6 acts as a fluorine source for high density plasma cutting without producing carbon by-products.

+ SF6 can be used for the production and engraving of materials with superfine structure (Especially tungsten), nitrite and oxide.

- In construction: SF6 and Ar mixture is often used as an insulating window, reducing sound transmission and heat transfer.

- In medical:

+ Used in eye ultrasound examination, leak detection and gas replacement in eye surgery.
