Classification of stainless steel coils

Based on the manufacturing process, stainless steel coils are divided into two main product lines, each with its own characteristics:

Hot rolled stainless steel coils

Process: Steel is rolled at extremely high temperatures (above 1,000°C). At this temperature, the material structure and shape are altered to achieve the required dimensions.
Characteristics: The surface is typically dark blue or black in color, with lower gloss and aesthetic quality compared to cold-rolled products.

Cold rolled stainless steel coils

Process: Performed after the hot rolling stage. The slab is gradually reduced in thickness at low temperatures (possibly at room temperature). This process uses specialized cooling solutions to prevent cracking or surface breakage.
Characteristics: The manufacturing principle does not change the material structure but only deforms its shape. The product has higher rigidity, a smoother surface, and better aesthetics.
