Chemical bolts are threaded rods or bolts designed to be used with chemical adhesives to create a strong bond between the bolt and the surface material, such as concrete or brick. These bolts are classified into two main types based on the accompanying chemical adhesive:

• Capsule-type adhesive: These are pre-packaged chemical capsules made from glass or nylon, containing chemical adhesives such as HVA (Hilti), Maxima (Ramset), and RM (Fischer).
• Tube-type adhesive: These are chemical adhesives available in tubes, such as Hilti and Fischer adhesive tubes.

For high-strength chemical bolts with a 10.9 durability grade, hot-dip galvanization and electro-galvanization are not recommended, as the hydrogen atoms involved in these processes may compromise the steel’s ductility, leading to potential cracking or breakage.

• Strength grade: Higher-strength bolts cost more (e.g., 8.8 grade > 6.6 grade > 4.6 grade).
• Size: Larger diameters and longer bolts generally cost more (e.g., M30 > M27, M20x120 > M20x100).
• Standard compliance: Different production standards dictate mechanical properties, strength grades, and material compositions, affecting the price.
