❖ Irans Sadaf Carbon Black charcoal increases the durability of tires, reinforcing agent in rubber products. Carbon Black also contributes to the longevity of tires. Some radar-absorbing materials, copiers, laser toner printers, inks, and paints also use Carbon Black. It is also used as 1 pigment to produce black Masterbatch beads. ❖ Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR)
SBR rubber has thermal aging resistance of about 80 - 100oC and wear resistance slightly better than natural rubber.
Price: Compared to other synthetic rubbers, SBR rubber has a better price than BR, NBR, CR, EPDM rubbers.
Mixing: SBR rubber is rarely used alone, often mixed with other rubbers such as NR/SBR mixture is often mixed to achieve a balance of good features of NR and SBR such as better wear resistance, better friction resistance.
Application: A special feature of SBR rubber, is its very good color production, so SBR rubber often produces shoe industry logos and is often the base rubber for masterbatch promotion chemicals.
